This holiday season has been so special for our Shared Housing families, and this year more people than ever are hearing our Shared Housing story.

Thanksgiving Baskets with Shared Housing

The holidays are already here!  Next week we will deliver 150 Thanksgiving Care & Share baskets to our families and senior citizens and their roommates.  A big THANKS to Southwest Airlines' MIT I Fall Class of 2015 for purchasing all of the fixings & the trimmings!  Members from Altrusa, SHC Board, staff & volunteers will deliver the baskets starting Saturday Nov 21!  But we still have plenty of needs - so don't despair.

Getting Ready for North Texas Giving Day

I love these kids. From the moment I was introduced to Shared Housing I knew I wanted to help. After 20+ years I'm still involved, and this year I have stepped up to be president of this very special organization.

On September 17th The Communities Foundation of Texas will be hosting North Texas Giving Day - the day when your donation can go further than ever to help the Shared Housing kids and families.

Just visit this site on the 17th and make a donation. Every donation large or small will help us get closer to our goal of making our dream of the Green Haus a reality.

Highland Park High School Students Help With School is Cool

This weekend a group of highland park students joined their friend (our chair) Jack Kozmetsky and packed approximately 50 back packs for lower grades.  A big thanks for taking time from your Saturday to give to others!
